It’s been a while since we have updated for a good reason!
We opened our very first shop in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire on 16th October 2009. With many thanks to the Leamington residents ( and many from further afiled) for welcoming us with open arms!
We are lucky enough to have a bakery on site- which you can come and have take a peek at through our viewing window.
We make all the cakes here and have handmade chocolates from France Crute www.francescrute.co.uk

So when you fancy a piece of gorgeously moist carrot cake, award winning brownie or even a stunning birthday cake you know where to come!

Hogarths Hotel in Solihull is a lovely boutique style hotel stunningly designed to a high spec, I love delivering cakes there!

They have an island which you can get married on in good weather, which I like as its so unusual.

The cake we made was a cigarello cake for Annette and Tony s wedding also had chocolate dipped strawberries on top.

Dormy House wedding set up

Dormy house is situated in The Cotswolds and is truly a gem.

A Privately owned 4 star hotel dates back to the 17th centrry and is a stunning wedding venue.

The couple marrying at Dormy had a wheat intolerence so they had their top tier wheat free and the rest with wheat.

It looked stunning!

 Wow, what a busy summer it has  been!

We have been to some lovely venues in Warwickshire and beyond over this past few weeks so I will add in some of the best along with some pictures of our scrummy chocolate wedding cakes!

One of the first cakes in August was at Sherbourne House in Barford, just outside Warwick http://www.sherbournepark.com/weddings/church.htm

Sherbourne house is an impressive grade II listed house surrounded by 6 acres of picturesque grounds which include an outdoor pool, croquet lawn and a well stocked fishing lake amongst other things.

The cake we made for Sherbourne Park’s couple Rachel and Ed is above.

The next wedding cake was in a stunning marque in the grounds

Rosella and James had a white wrap cake incorporating their colours of aubergene and dusky pink at the top of the page

Compton Verney

At the end of July we displayed our chocolate wedding cakes in a marquee in the beautiful grounds of Compton Verney in Warwickshire near Wellesbourne . It’s a Georgian Mansion and art gallery and a wonderful new venue for wedding celebrations http://comptonverney.org.uk

Cupcakes are all the rage at the moment and for Laura and Matts wedding they had over 200!

Our first entry to ‘the diary of a chocolate cake maker’ starts at Dumbleton Hall near Evesham and the Cotswolds.

Dumbleton Hall Hotel is a traditional 19th century Manor House set in 19 acres of private gardens and woodland with a private lake. The hotel is surrounded by stunning views of the Bredon Hill, Cotswold Hills and Broadway Tower. See http://www.dumbletonhall.co.uk/
